The first humans arrived on Alvador nearly two thousand years ago in a ragged fleet of storm-tossed ships from a far distant land, believed to be somewhere to the northwest of Alvador. Their arrival came at a fortuitous time for the elves of old, deep in the devastation of the First Dragonwar.

These humans, under the leadership of Pharius, quickly joined the elves in their battle against the Dragons, and in time helped push the Dragons to their perch on the southern tip of the continent.

Men—a generic terms use to refer to the human race, regardless of gender—are a hardy folk, skilled at farming, sailing, and crafts. Faster breeding than elves, humans have spread to become one of the numerically dominant races on Alvador.
